    Everyone remember that when Ildiko’s card is due is that it’s due on the 22d! I can’t wait to write mine! I’m even gonna give her a book that I know she will like. Sammy Keyes! I think it’s important to make the card for Ildiko special because she’s been out for 4 months! We haven’t seen her for that long! It’s pretty depressing because she’s my friend, and I miss her.

    I think she will love how we all took time to give her something special. I mean, she misses us and Glenridge, so why don’t we do something nice for her? She really needs the support, too. No one wants to have their dad be diagnosed with brain cancer. It’s a really sad thing, and the fact that we are all helping her is so amazing! We should keep doing it for her! What do you think about that?

Book Review: House of Scorpion

The House Of Scorpion

    The House of Scorpion is a book about true love and slavery. There are these creatures called eejits which are people with computer chips in the head, So their owners can say "Get me some water!" and the eejit will get it. This is a fantasy story. The main character Matt huts himself very badly and finds out that he is a clone. The clone of Elpatron, A very rich person. There is a girl named Maria. And Matt and Maria fall in love.

Have you read The House Of Scorpion? If not you should.

Our visit to the Symphony

    We went to the Symphony on 11/20/13. We looked at art and listened to music. There where strings, woodwinds, brass, and percussion. Every picture would have it's own music.

    There was sad music, happy music, joyful music. All sorts of music. One of the students Evan fell asleep right behind me. I was the only one who dress nicely science it was the symphony.

Have you ever been to the symphony? If not You should it is very beautiful and soundly.

CRASH has ended

        Crash Has Ended

    Crash ended with everyone wondering and there is no sequel or second book! It was a very interesting ending and we are going to write some chapters to it. Abby became a animal maniac and Crash became a nice normal not mean person.

    Crash screamed to Penn, "LEAN!!!!!!!" and Penn won the race just because of Crash. Crash saw Penn's great grandfather and he reminded him of scooter and let him win and than they won the Penn relays! They came in second when they never Evan became 3rd. They always lost.

CRASH

Mrs.Barnes is reading aloud a book to us, Crash by Jerry Spinelli.  It's about a boy who was playing before first grade started and he met an unusual boy named Penn Webb. The boy is John but goes by his nickname of Crash. Do you know why they call Crash, Crash? Well one Christmas Crash got a football helmet and he was aiming at the door with it on his head.    That's right when his cousin opened the door and Crash hit his cousin in the stoumach and knocked her out into the snow. The whole class laughed at that.We are now chapter 32.  There is a new character named Scooter.  Scooter is Crash's grandfather.

Claymo Meeting

      First Claymo Meeting by Ildiko

    The first Claymo meeting was good, but not the best. I could not keep the little ones quiet because I was alone, my partner went home.  I was alone and with a partner it would be easier than alone. So we only got through half of the lesson. I loved seeing the little ones working together so I grouped up the 4th graders with the 1st graders. Then we filled the poster with ideas to be better in an assembly.  Some kids made pictures and some kids wrote words. Then the meeting was over I was so sad because we had to end.  We could've kept on going and going till the end of the world, but sadly our time was over.

    When we were dancing at our retreat, we danced to The Cubic Shuffle and The Macarana. When we danced we had to have a lot of space. There were always more girls than boys.

    Quinn said, "I was getting bored with it, so I started to spice it up a little. For the kicks, I jumped and snapped my fingers. And for moving side to side, I jumped and put my hands up in the air like I just didn't care."

    The Macarana was fun  because it's the Macarana! You put your hands out, then turn them up, then on your shoulders, than on your head, then cross your hands on your hips, the uncross, then shake your butt.
