100 Word Challenge: Diniti

I typed fast and messy, words spelled wrong, and my punctuation horrible. My hands flew across the keyboard. At least I wasn’t handwriting it, or this work of un-art would be disheveled, chaotic, and sloppy.  Besides, my lower-cases would be larger than my capitols. I glanced up at the clock. Before, I had been scared that glancing up would waste a few precious seconds. I had five whole minutes. Five whole minutes! That gave me plenty of time. I slowed down. Last paragraph…… Last three words……………”Times up! Send your 100 word challenges in!” “But I thought I had enough time!” I cried. “Nope” Mrs. Barnes said.

  1. What a wonderfully original post Diniti. Right from the opening sentence I was hooked and wondering where the tale was going. Some great vocabulary like 'disheveled' and 'chaotic' but I was particularly attracted by the notion of a 'work of un-art!' You also managed to inject a real sense of pace and urgency, so the double-bluff at the end, where things appear to be calm, but all of a sudden they're not, was deliciously unexpected.
Well done and keep rising to the Challenge.
