    Barnes and Noble is a great bookstore that I go to a lot! Since it’s a bookstore, you can buy the book and keep it forever. That’s why I like it better than libraries. Also in libraries, the books are so beat up! But at Barnes and Noble, they are nice and clean! They have many different sections to it. They have a teens section, kids section, adult section, and even a Starbucks. I the different sections, of course they’re split up. Like in the teens section, they have a little mini fantasy thing, or in adults, they have new releases. Everything is always very organized, of course!

    I always loved coming there, it makes me think of all the books I can own and how many opportunities I have to get amazing books! The feeling is great! Have you ever been to Barnes and Noble? If not, go soon! It’s an amazing place that holds memories that are trapped in books. Trust me, you’ll love it!

Subway

    Subway is a small restaurant where you get subs, pizzas, salads, many other good things. Subway is a very good place to eat if you like subs, because that’s what they’re known for, and that’s why their name is called Subway! They also have chips you can eat as a side, and cookies! They are all very delicious, and I love going to Subway.

    In Subway, I used to get the pizza a lot. I mean, it was very tasty! It had parmesan, which made the taste even more flavorful! I love their pizza. Now, I usually get the 6 inch turkey sub. Now that, is VERY GOOD!

    I love Subway, and I love all their food. They deserve to be eaten by EVEN MORE customers, though Subway is very popular. You should really go there, and have some fun eating the great food. Trust me, you won’t regret it!

Popular Broadway Stars by Manny 

    Broadway is my curiosity project, and I’m growing to love it. So, I’m gonna talk about three Broadway stars that deserve to be mentioned about.

    First, is Lea Michele. She was on 4 productions, mostly known for Spring Awakening. She has an amazing Broadway voice that I love to listen to. The next Broadway star is Barbra Streisand, who is very famous for being an author, singer, and actress! That’s pretty serious, if you ask me. She sang my current favorite song, which is called “Don’t Rain on My Parade”. I love that song! I know all the lyrics. Last but not least is Idina Menzel. She is so good at singing and acting. No wonder she got the lead role in Wicked! Also, she was Queen Elsa in Frozen. She is the famous singer of Let it Go!

    I love all these stars. Their work, singing, and acting is very fun to watch. I hope these women get roles on Broadway one more time!

Anticipated Movie

    I really want to see this movie, and it’s called “Legends of Oz: Dorothy’s Return”. It’s a musical, and I LOVE musicals!! I really want to see it, mainly because of Lea Michele, because she’s my favorite singer, Broadway star, and actress. I love her! Also, the movie looks pretty good too. The animation is a little different from Frozen and Tangled, and that’s unique. The movie seems pretty exciting, and playful. It’ll be a good movie, once I watch it.

    So, Dorothy returns to Oz, to find that it’s being taken over by an evil clown/joker. So with the help of many more characters, Dorothy tries to stop the joker. I’m so excited to hear Lea Michele sing in the movie. Her character sings a song that is called “When The World”. I hope there’s another song in the movie that Lea sings, because her voice is amazing!

    I can’t wait till this movie comes out. It’ll be so fun to watch (if I watch it), and the songs will be so good! I’m so ready and excited to see it! Now, do you want to watch the movie?

Dancing with The Stars

    Dancing With the Stars is a dancing show, as it says in the title. It was entertaining when I watched it a lot, but now I don’t watch it that much. But I still remember a lot of it to let you in on it. Have you ever watched Dancing With the Stars? If not, then you really should. It’s fun to watch, and you can criticize the dancers, (that’s what I always do)!

    In Dancing With the Stars, they have professional dancers that stay on the show. Then each season, a celebrity is picked to dance with one of the stars. I think it’s really cool how they do that, and it makes it more interesting. This show is a good show. A good show you have to watch. You can see some of your favorite celebrities dancing on the show!! THat would be entertaining!

Sony Open Tennis

    Well, I’ve blogged about Indian Wells tennis, and now it’s Sony Open Tennis I’m talking about! It’s just like Indian Wells, except the courts are purple, and it’s in Miami and not California. I preferred to watch the last tournament better, but this one is still good. Sony open Tennis is one of my favorite parts of the tennis year. It’s such a nice thing to watch on TV, for all ages! You could be old or young, it doesn’t matter. You can just relax, and enjoy the tournament.

    In the Sony Open, a LOT of top players play. Like, ALL of them! It’s entertaining to watch all the professionals grind through their matches. I just love to see it. This tournament rocks! I love to have fun and try to relax on the couch, having fun and talking about the players’ game. You should really watch the Sony Open. Do you watch tennis on TV?

Pizzarelli

    Pizzarelli is a great pizza place I went to in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. It has nice pizza, and I was very surprised it would taste so good! Do you like pizza places? Well, you would love Pizzarelli. Even though I was there in a rush, I still loved the food. It tastes so rich and delicious.

    At Pizzarelli, there are calzones. Calzones are like mini burritos, except that the fact that they are stuffed with pepperoni and cheese. I never had one there, but I knew they must’ve tasted good. Moving on to the pizza, the first thing you think about is how HUGE THEY ARE! They’re pretty big pizzas, but I managed to finish it quickly, for we were on a rush to tour the old colonial part of Santo Domingo.

    This place is great. If you ever come to Santo Domingo, you have to come eat here! Everything is so good! If you try it, promise me, you’ll love it!

Scream Land

    Scream Land is an awesome indoor amusement park in a mall in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. If you’ve been to an indoor amusement park before, I highly doubt it’s as great and exciting as Scream Land! Scream Land is exhilarating, fun, and thrilling. It’s the ideal place to be when you’re bored. The rides and activities there are incredible. Let me tell you more about this place.

    Well, it’s a little dark, but there are a lot of lights in the place, which makes it look cool. My first ride was on the Drop N’ Twist. You have to be 48 inches or taller to be on this ride. Thank goodness for my little brother, because he’s exactly 48 inches tall! As you bring down the holder thingie, you go up, and up, and so far up, everything looks small. You go up to, I think, the very top of the ceiling! Then you twist slowly, and go down for two seconds, then you twist again, and drop down SO FAST!! I love the adrenaline rush you get. It feels great. You keep doing that for like, 3 minutes. Once I got off, I went to the Side Winder with my new friends Estella, Miranda, their brother named Marcos, and my brother, Angelo. At first when you get on and hold on to the thing, you go around in a slow circle, then you go around really fast. At the top of the turn, I had trouble breathing! Then after 8 rounds of that, you go the other way. After the ride, I was relieved it was over. Those two rides were probably ones you would love.

    There are many more rides and activities, but I just picked two. Scream Land is amazing! If you were at that mall, you would love it. I know you would.

Spring Break

    This spring break (March 17-March 21)
I will be going back to where I moved from (Oregon) and seeing all of my old friends at both my old schools. I will be staying with my friend, while my mom and brother stay with her friend.We will go to the beach for 4-5 days (even though my friend and my mom's friend's daughter has school).
    I can't wait to get school over with even though there might be homework.  It is time to take a break from all this school work and let loose of my school work and GRAB that fun that is left out of school.What are you doing for your spring break?

    YES!!  Spring break is coming, ten more no school days. I will have fun and maybe I can go to the Yellowstone Park!  But I have to learn some difficult things like English :(  So,I'm not going to the Yellow stone Park on spring break. The thing makes me happy is my family can go to the Yellow stone Park in summer and it's longer than 20 days. PLEASE hope me do not get eaten by a wolf or bear!!!!!!!

Spring break will start in 2 days.I am exited because my baseball season will start during spring break and I will have soccer games.I am going camping with my dad.
We are bringing a huge tent,the tent is 10 feet by 10 feet.
I also may be going to the campus of Murray State University to see my brother play baseball.
I am also going to Indianapolis to see my sister play volleyball.
I am going to be relived when spring break starts because we will have no school.
I am exited for the warm weather but also mad that winter is over because it was fun snowboarding when there was snow.Hopefully it will snow tomorrow like it is supposed to and then it can be warm.

I am so so so so soooo exited for spring break,I am having a 4 day day sleep over with my BBBBBBBFF because my mom is going to Texas!!!!Also I love spring break because there is no school:)!!!I am going to love the warm weather,especially since we've had all this snow and hail and sleet,I could go on forever.I am going to try and finish this book I am reading called THE ONE AND ONLY IVAN.

I just got a new scooter and so I'm going to ride it every day during spring break.Also I am going to go swimming and go to many many many many parks.Well I hope I have convinced you to be looking forward to spring break,so bye.

The tiny rocks stabbing me. The Demons hiding in the water. Some Demons waiting on the tiny rocks, preparing to sting you unexpectedly. Your ice cream falls onto the sharp tiny rocks. The sun burning you to a crisp, until you are a pile of ashes. It starts to rain and storm clouds fill the sky.

    I will always love the beach. Even if it does all these things to me. Every summer I visit it. East or West. It doesn't matter. It's always the best location for me. Do you like the beach?

Wydown Play

    The Wydown Play was very entertaining. We went there at 11:30. We've been to one of their plays, and that was in the fall. There were many characters in it, more than I've seen in a while. My favorite part was when my brother sang his song "Rain". It was very fun to watch. When he showed me the song sang on Broadway on YouTube.com, he did it surprisingly well and a little different from what I've imagined.
    The play was very good. There was a lot of dancing, and singing. I had thoughts about crying when they sang that song about Tee Moon. It was a sad moment in the play. There was a tiny bit of romance in it. It was very sweet and touching. Some kids laughed at the cheesy lines of romance, but I just watched. The play was very good and we all enjoyed watching it. Did you like the play?

    We had a field trip to the middle school of Clayton. The school was called Wydown. The play was called Once On This Island.
    It was about when to separate worlds collide. One side is rich and like the world we are today. the other is like Africa when they only live in woods and forest. One person from the rich world was driving and crashed. A girl named Ti-mu saved him. the sent him back and the so fell in love. But the boys father made a agreement that he has to get married to someone else. The boy had to tell Ti-mu and they made Ti-mu leave. Ti-mu died of a broken heart.

Wild Smoke

    Wild Smoke was this grill that my family and family friends went to altogether. Do you like bars and grills? If you also like barbeque, you will LOVE this place. It’s also for meat eaters. Now I’m going to tell you a little about this restaurant. Once you get into the restaurant, there’s this long line you have to wait in for 20 minutes. It was like this place called Pappy’s. But at Pappy’s my family had to wait 2 and a half a hours! You might not belive me but it’s true. Anyways, there are great sandwiches you can get. They have this mac ‘n cheese called “Jacked Up Macaroni and Cheese.” I got that as a side. They put pepper on it, so it kind of ruins the flavor. I got the turkey sandwich on this soft bread. I couldn’t eat all of it because it was so filling.

    I’m glad my family members enjoyed it, because that’s the reason why you go out in dinner. It’s to have a good time and just enjoy yourselves. Or maybe get out of the house, if it’s crazy! You would probably like it. But on the mac ‘n cheese, make sure you like pepper on things, or else you won’t like it as much. Have you ever been to Wild Smoke?

Favorite Movie Characters

    These real or animated characters have shown an insane amount of bravery or cleverness. They can also be smart, kind, aggressive or shy. I have my list of favorite movie characters, but they’re not in order. Anyways, I’m about to share them with you. I love to watch movies, do you? They can teach you life lesson or just make you laugh when you are sad. That’s why I chose to type this up. But it is not just movies that can teach you life lessons, it’s also characters, too. So here they are.

    First, I like Queen Elsa from Frozen. She is brave, strong and scared of hurting people because of her ice and snow powers. She is teaching a great deal of being brave. Next would be Thor. Thor is powerful. His powers are amazing. I just do not like how his brother is so evil. That’s not good. He shows how to be strong. Lastly is the teenage girl from Epic. She is funny and fast. I liked to watch the movie because there were jokes like every second. The teenage girl shows how to have a sense of humor. These characters are teaching a lot of lessons. Humor, strength, and courage can get you far in life. I hope you think that is true.

Skiing in Colorado

Over winter break my family went skiing in winter park,we went to a place called Winter Park.

On Monday December 23 we started skiing.since that was just my second time skiing we had to have a private lesson some skiing guy.

He was nice but since we were not all pros we did not get to do too hard of skiing runs that day.You see a  black diamond at hidden valley is compared to a green in Colorado.

I had not remembered how to ski but when we got there and started doing stuff it was apparently easy!We spent most of the morning learning how to ski.After that we had lunch and started doing the runs.The first one we went on was not very hard I felt like an amazing skier going down the hill. But when we started getting to the harder runs I fell a lot .My favourite run was called Ski Papa.Ski papa took you through the woods and over little jumps, During the whole run I felt like I was going to run into a tree.

The next day we immediately started skiing.The first one we went on took us through the woods a down steeper hills.After that we took the longest ski lift to the top of the mountain.Now this is not the top of a hidden valley mountain this is the top of a Colorado mountain.Right as we got up there it started snowing hard.

We started going down the mountain It was like a blizzard we had to get the bottom as fast as we could.The only problem was you could not see 10 feet in front of you and your goggles were completely fogged up.

I thought I was going to die on the way down or at least break a bone.I did not think any of us would get down there safely. It was skiing through a battlefield.Some how I made it down and survived the day.

Movie Review: Dog Days

Diary of a Wimpy Kid:Dog Days by Manny 

    A lot of people in 5B have read Diary of a Wimpy Kid. Well, I’m here to talk about one of the movies I’ve seen. It’s called Diary of a Wimpy Kid:Dog Days. It was a very funny and entertaining movie to watch. I really enjoy watching the movies better than the books. Only by a little, though. Have you seen this movie? Well, it’s really funny. It can get a little weird, ‘cause, you know, it’s Diary of a Wimpy Kid.

    So it’s summer in the movie. Greg has a crush on Holly Hills. He often sneaks out to a country club to have fun with Rowley and Holly. Although when he leaves, he lies to his dad and tells him that he got a job. The movie really has a twisted plot and I think you can learn a lot from this movie, actually. You can learn better father to son relationships, because something happens with Greg and his dad. The movie was funny and a tiny bit serious. But the serious part was where the dad and Greg have those problems. If you have not watched this movie, then watch it! You can learn a lot from this film.

TV Review: Ending of a Show

Ending of a Show by Manny 

    One of my favorite shows is about to end. It’s called Good Luck Charlie. The show’s gonna end on the 11th of February. It has been an awesome show and I hope the last episode, which is called “Goodbye Charlie” is a good episode. The title seems to me like it’s going to have a proper ending. Good Luck Charlie is one of the best shows on Disney in my opinion. And when it ends, the only good show will be Austin and Ally. And Austin and Ally is in their 3rd season.

    Good Luck Charlie was a very unique Disney show. I do love the characters and stuff so I really do not want it to end. The plot was great and I seriously enjoy the messages and problems they have with their friends and such. Is one of your favorite shows about to end?
