I am Captain Rex the best clone in the army.  My master said go in a Pipe to kill some droids.  I Swam 5 miles.  The water was green.  I had to carefully swim across the river because there was sharks.  When I was done swimming I went out of the lake and saw 1000 droids so a got 100 booms. Then I throw them. After there was 500 droids.  Then I got my pistols out and I shoot all of them down.  Then there was 0 of them. Then I got my horse and left in the sunset.  It was a great day.

    Then when I looked out of the plane window I saw Messi with  guns.  He was about to shoot us and, then  I jumped out of the plane.  When I jumped out I noticed that I did not have a parachute, I realized that I was on a mission because all police were talking about kill this and that. They gave me  tickets to New York and gave me a lot of new cloth. So when I opened my arm and I had a flying suit Messi shot me and I had  bullet proof cloth and I killed Messi.

    In 1628 a small group of settlers arrived in North America. They had a charter, or official paper, from the king of England. It gave the settlers permission to start a colony in New England. There, they built a village called Salem.

    Like the Pilgrims, these settlers came to New England to practice their religious beliefs.  They also came to start farms and businesses.  Unlike the Pilgrims, the new settlers did not want to break away from the Church of England. They wanted to change some religious practice to make the church more "pure". For this reason, they were called Puritans.

OLW: Help

One little word blog post

    My one little word is Help because if there was no helping in the world there would be no no kindness.  For example in Math class jonah needed help with a math question so I helped him.  Today when Soren, Aaron, and Kane were playing with the white board. When it was time to stop I helped them clean it up even that I was doing something else.

    Do you know that saying sharing is caring it is. But I turned it around and put my word in there and now it is Helping is Caring.  Because if you did not care you would not help. But if you did care you would help and feel proud about it. But does not count if you just help to get something out of it and if you do not feel proud about it.

PE: Basketball

 Basketball in P.E.

    One day, Monday, 8:50 in the morning we were walking in the P.E door when saw 6 basketballs on the ground and the hoops were up too. Right when we saw Basketball shooting we all screamed yay.

    When Mrs Miller said first "we are going to do warm up". 1 minute after that she said we are doing basketball shooting. after that she said " in groups of three". Then we were shooting the games were on the bubble and knock out. I won every game.

Science: Pendulums

I am going to teach you some facts I learned from my investigation of double-decker pendulums.  

    One fact is about the pendulum. When you have a high release point, you get low swings and just because the pendulum is longer the swings will be even lower.  The number of swings when you have a high release point is 7  swings.  

Another fact is, when you have an average  release point, you get an average swings but a little less.  The numbers for an average release point is 10 swings.

Another fact is, when you have a low release point, you get a little less swings than the average low release point. The number of swings for a low release point is 12 swings. 

  If I took the low penny off there would be 0 swings because the pendulum would just drop. If I took the top penny off there would be 6 swings because there is less mass.

Teaching My Class How To Kick a Soccer Ball

When Mrs Barnes said “We are going to teach something that we know really well.” I got so happy, the first thing that popped in my head was I am going to teach the class how to kick a soccer ball. The next thing that popped in my head was that is too simple. But then something pushed that comment out of my head and said there is special way to kick a soccer ball. Then Mrs Barnes said talk to your group.

I said, “How to kick a soccer ball,"

  Emma said, “How to make chocolate strawberries,”

 Jean said, “How to make a paper thing.”

     Mrs Barnes said she will pick chopsticks then  was the third person to be picked because I thought that Miguel and Tom would pick soccer because they love soccer .

I said, “How to kick a soccer ball on Wednesday.”

Mrs Barnes said “Ok”

On the day I was going to teach my class how to kick a soccer ball. I had to have a soccer ball. I taught my class how to kick a soccer ball.

PE - African Dance

When we were in P.E we had someone from Africa come to teach us African dance.  It was really cool. We had a lot of fun. We learned a lot of moves. We had to remember everything we did throughout the year.

One of the moves were really hard because we had to move our hands and move our legs. It was fun to learn about the countries. The only country I said is where I was born from and that is from Ethiopia.

It was august 28th, Thursday, We were in one of the three party rooms at the Clayton center.  All of fifth grade was in half of the party room, sitting down.  It was very cramped.  

"Now, we will watch a video." said Mrs. Barnes.  

I thought that we were watching kid president because he is a role model and fun and popular at school.  

I had no idea what the video was going to be about.  Probably another teacher video.  

    Murmurs went across the room when Mrs. Barnes said "video".  The lights slowly went off.
