Kindergarden

This is are buddies. We come done and read to them every now in then. Once a week we go down and we help them pick out books. There teacher has them pick 5 books that is a good book for them and then she has them pick 5 books that are "hard" 

We help them do all of that and when we help them pick books it's in the morning. When we read to them we read a lot of books, but there so short that we read them in like 5 minutes. And we are with them for 30 minutes, I have learned to by some time. Would you like do this?

100 Word Challenge: Aidan

It was a long night I had my parents out on a date. I look for some food in the refrigerator and nothing. Then I see some hot sauce I don't take hot well but I'm so hungry I chugged it down. I freak out and hit the cabinet and a delivery man I call. Its out of service I go to the office. When  I opened the cupboard door and saw a man. But it was for a vegan place. I hear the doorbell and open it. "Hey mark you ordered a XXL with all meat hear on the house". I bless him and eat it all.

100 Word Challenge: Aidan

I was playing football with a kid named Matt. I had the ball and he slapped it out my hand and the ball fell in the sewer. May dived after it and went in the sewer. I grabbed a shovel and was pushing through the earth and I found him. We had no way to get out so we made a rope with bacteria and climbed out. Not so bad over a football we both said and laughed. That was the most fun I've had in a long time we had a deal that what happened in the sewer stayed in the sewer.

I was on my way to the beach and a lifeguard was helping someone out. He was in the water and I came up and asked to help but he said no and I left him alone. So I went to the ice cream stand and was getting something for my mom. Then the lifeguard asked for me to help him and I said yes. So I came with him to the water and he told me to go out there and I did and a man was in need of help and I was so cold. and but all we could see was water.

I woke up in the morning and saw a big balloon and was out of bed in no time. I ran outside and a tall man with his son on him said hello. I was not able to see what was going on but saw a pink gorilla. But was hearing something like a bicycle. the balloon I saw before was a grand parade. I fell to the ground and I laughed so hard. I was so happy I got my whole family and we had so much fun that day. I was still in my PJ's and the man was fun the end bye.

Our New Student, Grace

We have a new girl in our class named Grace.  She and I are a part of the Strikers' colony group. She is from Portland, Oregon with a cat and a dog. It was so funny when she came we were all like,  "What is your pet's name?"

 I have been helping her around. She is getting along very well. Anything i say Grace will understand  and is like, "Yes that sounds right, I understand"

SS: Colony Points

 New Team/Colony Points System by Aidan


We are starting colonies and have a new point system. It gets vary weired but it will grow on you. I think that me and my team will hope for great things. There are some weired abbreviations like F.U. means food units. There are five team. You have the Applaines, Defenders of Liberty, Free Eagles, The Wings of Freedom and my team the Strikers of the Night.

Team Competition

In 5b, we have points.  They are for our teams in Social Studies. The teams are Silver Compass, Scavengers, Fighting Buffalo and Homo Sapiens.If your team does something good, your team get points. Our names come from things related to our study of Explorers or old tools exploring. 

Now on the date of November, 20, 2013, the scores are Silver Compass has 12,010, Scavengers at 9,765, Fighting Buffalo at 7,130 and Homo sapiens has 5,370.  We get points  for getting questions right, doing extra credit and working together well and being good at guessing.  We have a lot of fun with them.  I am on Team Silver Compass and we hope to win.

Claymo Meeting #3

We had our Claymo meeting #3.  We read a book about blue and he was bullied by red. The other colors did not step up for him. Then 1 came and stood up for blue and all the colors became numbers. Red wanted to change and was nice and they were all good. Then we made bookmarks and that was all. we will keep you in by.

Writing

Writing Our Stories by Aidan and Quinn

This year we are working on personal narratives. A personal narrative is a true story about you. Some strategies are thinking of a first time or a last time you have done something. Other strategies are using emotions to remind you of times in your life. And notice small moments! Even though small moments don't seem big you can write lots about it. For example,  blowing out candles on your birthday. And you should write in 1st person, point of view. 

Partner Walk

    The partner walk was exciting, we got to do lots of talking. We were trying to learn more about your partner. For example, we had asked them our goals for life. Also to reflect on yourself and find out how good of a leader we are. The teachers walked around to a certain spot, and we had to follow the path. We had cards with questions to ask to our partner, and got new ones when we ran into a teacher. There were lot of interesting questions and you wouldn't want to know what was on those cards. But all we know is The Partner walk was awesome.
