I had just got off the ship. I was now in China. My goal for this trip was to go to the zoo and see some pandas. As I was walking around town trying to find someone who spoke English, I listened to others dialog. Some of the words heard sounded like a foreign language. It was a foreign language. A hard one to understand and connecting English words and making connections was hard. I was one of the weirdest languages I have ever heard. That  was because it was the only other language that I have heard. I wanted to learn some Chinese on this trip. Bye now.

I am a bug investigator. My partner and I had just been assigned on a mission to figure out how a bee had been shot. We only know that the bee is dead and it had no living family members. We live in a world where everyone is small and the people who live there are called awahoos ( A- Wa- Hoo- S ).  Well I should stop telling you about our life here in our country and figure out who killed the bee. I really dont want to get hurt in this investigation so you shall come with me. Lets go!

In class we have been working on our curiosity projects. Over spring break we were given the assignment to think about what we were curious about. Then when we got back to the school we had to chose a topic to research. I chose the topic of how to tell if someone is lying. At first I thought the topic would be to small and not a lot to research. When I really got into it I learned a lot and found the topic very very interesting. Everyone else in the class has chosen a topic and is researching it to present to the class one day. SOme other projects will be on radiation, animal abuse, sharks, cake decoration and sea turtles and many more.

Now let me tell a little about how we will be graded. We will be graded on spelling and grammar, our information, how our idea began ( our curiosity story ), a reflection which we have to complete and our organization. I am looking forward to the day where we present our projects to the class. To learn about others curiosities and to teach everyone in my class about how to tell if  someone is lying. Some people are presenting their projects in a form of a movie, a keynote, prezi and many more ways. I also have tested my knowledge on how to tell if someone is lying on my sister. This journey has been very fun.

    I was just standing there. Watching TV. Then I heard the noise. And when I opened the cupboard door I saw her. My sister eating our box of German chocolate. I was mad and confused at the same time. She was not allowed to eat the chocolate and I was wondering how she could fit in the cabinet. Before I had the chance to ask any questions she jumped out of the cabinet onto the floor and raw away. I didn't know what to do but to follow her. Then I saw what she was hiding. I could not believe my eyes.

I was just walking down the street. I know I had left it there. It was 42ND street 5 feet from the trash can. But I could not find the egg! It was there in the morning. Now it was 4 in the afternoon. I could not belive it. I was mad. It was my favorite thing in the world. I had lots it. I don't know what mom will think. Maybe I should not tell her. I would buy a new egg and she would not know. Everything would be ok. If nothing went wrong with the plan. The mixed up plan had to work.

There we were. Stranded. Only with a little food and only river water. No other civilization in sight. I was scared. I was hiking up a mountain but a strong storm came in and I don't really know what happened from there. All I know is that I ended up here with only a blanket and my backpack. I am not where I left off. I guess the storm took me to a different spot on the mountain. All I have to do now I find help or my way home.
But before I do I might as well build a fire and find some dinner. I don't have much to protect my self if any thing attacks me but I have my mine to get me out of tough situations.

Movie Review: Mr.Peabody and Sherman

The movie Mr.Peabody and Sherman is a very funny movie! It is about this kid named Sherman and his father is a dog! He is a normal kid in some ways but gets bullied at school. This leads to lots of problems with history and time periods. I will let you learn more by your self because I can't spoil it all but you need to see this movie.

    I get in fights with my sister sometimes but nothing happens that causes a life of death situation. I really like this movie because it tells an interesting story. When I left the movie theater I had a lot of great new knowledge. I also came out with a lot of questions. Like what is the French revolution? And other things. I really think you need to see this movie. My family really liked it too. You should go with your family! I hope you go see it!

Writing: The Scent of the Mouthwash

The Scent Of Mouthwash

We were at westwood country club.

’’Mom I got to go to the bathroom!’’                             

‘’Ok I’ll be right back. ”My mom sighed. I galloped to the bathroom. When we reached  the bathroom I raced inside.

    After I did my business I walked to the sink and looked at my choices. I saw a bottle with white foamy stuff in it. Next to the bottle was another bottle  with pink stuff in it, it was labeled lotion. On the other side of the counter was a bottle that was ¾ full and had green runny stuff in it. So I looked at my choices and I squirted some green stuff on my hands. I rubbed and I scrubbed, and I rubbed and I smelled my hands they smelt minty. I thought, mouthwash smelled minty.

    “Mom is the green stuff in the bottle and now on my hands mouthwash?”

    My mom replied”yes, yes it is.”

There was half a second of silence. Then I opened my mouth and an explosion of laughter came out of my small mouth.

    “I put mouthwash on my hands!” I exclaimed! Then I turned the water on and scrubbed until my hands smelled normal.

    Finally I squirted some actual soap on my hands and scrubbed till my hands were actually clean.

This is a story I wrote last year and wanted to share!

    I had started a kitchen fire. I had stepped away from the brownies for only a minute. Then it started, I kept hitting it with a rag. Then the rag caught on fire. Then my sister came running down the stairs. She must of heard the smoke alarm. She made me explain what happened quickly.
" But I thought I had enough time!" I told her.
"To do what?"
"To put out the fire."
" Go find the phone and call the fire department. But I could not find the phone. So I did not call them. I tried to help but the rag caught on fire."

They were skiing, all 4 of them. Then it hit them. The worst storm of the winter. They knew it was coming but they did not believe others. They were hit. Down to the cold harsh ground. After the sky cleared up and everyone was feeling better they started their way down the mountain to get medical help. But there adventure was not over yet……..

I would like to have the job as a night zookeeper as a part time job. I would work part time because in life I have other things to do. It would be fun and scary. It would be interesting to learn about these monster that are trying to defeat us. It kind of reminds me of our read aloud book. Where Samuel and the rest of the colony is trying to conquer the natives. I do have a lot of questions before I sign up. SOme including safety concerns.Over all I think it would be a great experience.

Cinderella loved her sisters every day of her life but then they had crossed the line. Cinderellas step mother comes stomping into the room and starts yelling at everyone. Cinderella starts to cry. There was a knock at the door. Cinderella excuses herself to go get the door. She opened the door and she found a woman who claims that she was looking to adopt cinderella. The both quietly sneak away. Cinderella starts to cry with tears of joy. She hugged the woman but told her that she could be by herself. She thanked the woman before she ran away.

I was just walking home from school one day and I fell into a pot hole. I was screaming my head off. I still had not hit the ground yet. It must be a portal I thought. Was I pushing through the earth of was I falling into a deep hole? Would I ever get out? Would anyone notice that I was gone? There were so many things that I wanted to know. I wanted answers fast. I stared to cry as I was still falling. Was I really falling? What was I supposed to do? I was so scared. Then it hit me.

    As I was pushing through the earth's center, I found it. All of my life I had tried to get to the very center of the earth and I had just made it. I had also found a treasure chest. I opened it. Was I to open it? I did. I opened the chest and guess what I found!? It was not gold but it was not silver ether. It was the best thing in the world. I had found a real live panda baby with magic powers. Did it have magic powers to live in a box? I wanted to know the truth.

    It was there. The U F O. It had come. It was hovering over my neighbor's house but they were not home. I wonder what they will do and think when they get home. I wanted to do something but my mom and sister were at the grocery store. I could call 911 but what could they do about it? I wanted to be somewhere else in a happy place but what could I do now? I was really scared and wanted someone to be with me. Should I leave it alone? Or should I go towards the frightening object?

Valentine's Day

Our Valentine's Day Party

    Just the other day it was valentines day and in the afternoon we had our fifth grade party down in the gym. All 3 of the 5th grade classes were in the gym at 2:30. There were rotations that the grade rotated through and made up our party. Everyone was divided up into 5 groups for the rotations.

Here are the rotations:

The Twizzler eating contest is where everyone is given a Twizzler and who ever finishes it first without using their hands wins

The Collage Station

The relay race is where out of a straw you shot a cotton swab into a bucket then you jump rope 5 jumps, next you hula hoop 5 hollas, lastly you shot a basketball into a basket and go back at tell the next team mate to do their turn

The Matchup station is where on the back of everyones shirt there is a name tag that says a me on it. On someone else in your group has the pair. So like Romeo and Juliet. Was a pair and the object was to find your pair with asking yes or no questions to find out who you are and then to find out about who others are.
