Planetarium

The Planetarium was awesome. We watched the stars and the Constellations. It turns out that there is a dragon, big and little bear Constellation and a dog Constellation! I even saw Mars! I also controlled a land rover on (fake) Mars! I can't wait to go back to the Planetarium!

HIDDEN VALLEY by Ben

On Thursday, January 14th 2016, my school went to Hidden Valley and it was awesome. I learned how to hockey stop. I also skied with a bunch of friends. Wilson brought a Camel Back. Wilson was one of the best ones out there. He stayed after and skied on almost all of the runs. I was going to stay longer, but my foot hurt.  I was trying to get on the bus but my dad kept talking to Wilson's mom so then I had to drive in my dad's car. They used fake snow but it tastes good.  I usually snowboard but I had to ski for some reason. Now I think I'm going to start skiing again. I started off skiing when I was younger. I wanted to snowboard but now I think I'm going to ski in St Louis and snowboard in Colorado.

I picked Shalom because it means peace. I want there to be peace in the world. I want to have peace with my family by being nice. I will try not to fight with my brother and sister.

CLAYMO

Claymo: Claymo is very fun and we get to do kind things
Leader: Being a leader is a very fun job. Kindergardeners are cute. My sister is loud. 4th graders are nice and helpful.

Iris and I are the CLAYMO leaders in our group. We read a book called The Tale of Despereaux about being courageous. The main character Despereaux had a lot of courage. I think the kids besides my sister MOLLY liked it. Molly went to the safe seat. She was imitating people and being annoying.  

Our group made a list of ways you can be courageous like standing up to bullies. We also worked together to make a poster about being courageous. It had a castle and Despereaux on it. Mr. Manley hung it in the lunch room.

Me and Jeff were at the beach. He started shrinking. “Woh! where are your feet?” I asked him. “QUICKSAND!” He yelled. I got my parents. They were too late. By the time they got there he was gone. “You guys are tricking us.” Mom said. “No it’s true!” I yelled. I started crying, they believed me. We called the cops. Since we were crying, they tried to help. “There is nothing we can do.” :-(  XP

I woke up 23 years from then and went to the quicksand. I saw a skeleton. I put flowers there and let them sink in.

Learning is the best thing you could wish for. You learn how to spell, do math, science and you could learn how to read. Work as a team to reach hard goals, or do it by your self and reach easy goals you know how to do already. See how they work quietly and when they walk around they don't distract the class. They can choose to listen, or talk and not learn. It's your choice to make and no one is forcing you to listen. That's why it's important to learn.

You become smart, or become my dad and don't know how to spel. 3S works quietly and doesn't shout out. (Unless they are told to.) Mrs Schuh is one of my favorite teachers and one of the best. But it doesn't matter if you get a mean teacher a.k.a. Mrs Barnes, or a good one a.k.a. Mrs Schuh.

She just wouldn’t stop crying. Her name was Olivia. She went to the hospital and sprained her foot I think. Or something like that, but when I got back to our house she was next to my brother. She had ice on her foot. My brother sprained his arm. His name is Sam. They both flipped over their bike and I saw both of them do it. Olivia did it when my dad was there but we were way ahead of dad. He flipped. I didn’t know what to do. I just stared at him. My cousin called my dad.

Powwow

Powwow

Powwow is something for our class. To talk about problems and to give complaints and to just understand other people and to try to open up to are feelings. Sometimes we celebrate just because we did something good. Ben and i like powwow because it helps us understand what is going on.

In powwow we have not celebrated yet but we are looking forward to doing a something special to do, and i know it will be every fun. Ben and i really like to have powwow after claymo because we get to tell how we did.

Claymo: Retreat Ceremony

To Ben and I,  the ceremony was very heart touching. This ceremony was for the Glenridge fifth graders. It felt like someone died. It was very exciting. It was at Tillis Park on August 27, 2015. Ben and I were very happy to me apart of Claymo and be a part of the Glenridge school.   It has been a long journey and it will be unforgettable. We will remember this day forever!
