Biography: Simon Bolivar

Simon Bolivar
By Miguel
Simon Bolivar, Bolivia, Colombia, Panama, Peru, and Venezuela’s George Washington had a house in Bogota where he had his house.  In the house, currently a museum, there is the stuff he had in his house.
His house is a house, which its halls are outdoors, and the house itself is surrounded by gardens.  The rooms are all indoor.  The horse stables are kept inside the house compound.
One of the weirdest things about his house  is that the water they used to wash his clothes and his girlfriends clothes was the same water that they used to take showers, clean the horses stables, and all of the water used in the house.  Also, there is a display stand in his room that has his swords (apparently, he was left handed because one of his weapons, La Daga Fiorentina, is for left handed people), including his sword.  Sadly, on February  17, 1974, the guerilla group M-19 stole the sword leaving a note behind: “Bolivar, your sword returns to the battlefield.”.  Then on January 31, 1991, the M-19 gave the sword to the Colombian government, where it is kept in a safe.

Biography: Mrs. Barnes

         Biography 19: Mrs.Barnes by Manny
Mrs.Barnes is the best teacher that I have ever had in my life! She’s so kind and fair and not uptight. I wish I could stay in her class longer, but we all know Wydown is the next part of the journey for us. Well, Mrs.Barnes is amazing because you can talk to her about anything! Problems that you have, things you like, also things that you have in common with her. It’s been so cool having her as a teacher.
Mrs.Barnes has three children. Ian, Cooper, and Sophie. With the stories she’s told us all about them, they sound pretty unique. Mrs.Barnes is also into movies and TV and shows and games and music and all that stuff you’d think a student would know. Well, Mrs.Barnes knows all that too, which makes her stand out and makes her an amazing teacher.
Although we will leave Glenridge, I’ll still think of all the amazing teachers I’ve had. Especially you, Mrs.Barnes. You’re the best one yet. 5B loves you!

Biography: Jenna Ushkowitz

Biography 18:Jenna Ushkowitz by Manny

Jenna Ushkowitz is an American actress who plays the role of Tina on Glee. I am a fan of Jenna, and I think she’s a good singer, well, you have to be if you’re on Glee! I mainly wrote about her because I needed something to write about, but I also have wanted to write about Jenna for a while, actually!
Jenna Ushkowitz was on Broadway as a young child. She was in the Broadway musical The King and I, and she understudied many roles in another Broadway musical, Spring Awakening. Then a few years after Spring Awakening, she landed a role as Tina Cohen-Chang on Glee. Her style is a little goth and shy. After her success in Glee, she wrote a book that’s titled “Choosing Glee.” It’s about her life, and motivational things. It seems very interesting!
I really adore Jenna Ushkowitz. I think she’s very taleneted, and deserves the success that she has had in her career.

Biography: Finn Hudson

Biography 17:Finn Hudson by Manny

Finn Hudson is a character on Glee. I know, this is the second time I’m writing about a Glee character, but I think you can learn a lot from Finn. Finn Hudson is a football jock who likes to sing, and is torn between the two. He’s on the football team, and the Glee Club. So luckily for him, he doesn’t have to choose between the two of them.
Well, Finn Hudson is a kind, popular sophomore in high school. Well, in season 1 he was a sophomore. He is worried about his reputation by some things. Although, overall he’s a nice kid, and he can teach people a lot. Like, do you what you want to do. He gets slushied because he’s in the Glee Club. But he still does it because he loves singing, and that teaches something.

                   Famous Quotes:
“What, do they again? Oh yeah, the show must go all over the place.”
“You’re asking me to choose between you and football?”
“As you can see, I’m kinda busy with college.”

Like, some of the best singing I’ve ever heard in my life, she’s so incredible! Let me tell you about her personality.
Well, Rachel Berry is known around the school, McKinley High. She is very self confident and knows how good she was for an audition. After she auditioned for Glee Club in the show, she immediately said,”When are rehearsals?” She is hilarious. Also, Rachel talks a lot, too. She’s not very quiet, which is why she didn’t have as many friends at the beginning of the show. Well that’s Rachel Berry for you. Do you think Rachel Berry is good character?

Biography: Lea Michele

Biography 14:Lea Michele by Manny

Lea Michele is a very talented actress and singer on Glee. I think she is one of the best singers ever! You should really hear her voice on Glee. Usually in shows, the talented character isn’t super talented. But on Glee she plays this teen named Rachel Berry who is SUPER TALENTED!!! Lea is also a very good actress.
Lea was born on August 29, 1986. She always had a talent in music. She worked hard and look where it got her now! A main character on the hit show Glee! She has a Broadway/pop voice. Lea can hit notes that get you jumping out of your socks! She can go so high, it’s as loud as a scream, but so good!
Sadly, Lea’s boyfriend died. Her boyfriend was a main character on the same show. It was very sad news for her, and because of his death, she wrote and recorded a hit called “Cannonball.” Along with her first single, she has a new album! It’s called “Louder.
Lea Michele is my favorite singer and actress. She is so good at acting, and singing, some things I enjoy doing. Lea is incredible at her work and is very hardworking, with Glee, a new book, and her album. I find her very inspirational. Who do you look up to?

He plays Kurt Hummel on the Fox hit TV show Glee. I like to watch Glee. It’s a very popular show. His character that he portrays is one of my favorite’s on the show.
Chris Colfer won a Golden Globe Award for his works in Glee. His speech was about kids and how they can do something great, because Chris didn’t expect to win! No one would, unless they’re cocky and boastful. Also, he wrote a series called The Land of Stories. When I found out that he wrote a book for grades 4-6, I said that I NEEDED to read the book!     Raina Telgemeier is the author of Smile (A Dental Drama). I loved that book. It was an autobiography about herself and her struggles with her teeth. They did not rot, she just fell on her face and her two front teeth fell out. She also wrote Drama. A book about theater and drama with that. Fun Fact:Smile was a #1 New York Times bestseller. Oh, I almost forgot, she was born in San Francisco in 1977. She also wrote the black and white graphic novel for The Babysitters Club. The books got good reviews and one of the critics said that they highly recommend this book. That is great. Raina also has a book coming out soon called Sisters. Biography: Lorde

Biography 11:Lorde by Manny

Ella Maria Yelich-OConnor was born on November 7th, 1996. She was born in New Zealand. Her mom is a poet, and Ella picked up on that gene. Anyways, she is still in high school. She is a huge star around the world. Let me show you why.
Ella got her stage name, Lorde, due to her curiosity with royal’s and aristocracy. Don’t ask me what that means because I don’t know either. Anyways, she tried to get herself known by joining Facebook, Twitter and Tumblr to get herself noticed a little more. But then, in November of 2012 in New Zealand, her EP called The Love Club was released. It peaked at number 2 in her home country and in Australia. It also peaked at number 23 in America and 22 in Canada. The Love Club was fairly popular. The songs on there were called Bravado, Royals, Biting Down, Million Dollar Bills and a song called The Love Club. Her style is different from other artists based on her lyrics. “Gold teeth, grey goose, trippin in the bathroom, blood stains, ballgowns, stretching the hotel room we don’t care.” I mean, who can think of that? She’s a writer, so it comes easily for her. Soon, she released the smash hit worldwide called Royals. The song started off slow in popularity, but now, the song is number one in too many countries to count. Also, Royals landed her two Grammys on January 26th. And she is 17!! When she went back to school, there was a banner that said,”Congratulations, Lorde!”
Lorde released other songs too you might’ve heard about. Like Tennis Court and Team. I like all of her songs. Lorde deserves to have the fame she has now. Do you listen to Lorde’s music?

Biography of Author Erin Hunter

                                           Biography 9:Erin Hunter by Manny

I’m going to talk about an amazing author. Her name is Erin Hunter. She was the creator of Warriors. Why I say creator is because she does not, write the books herself, she has two or three people to write for her. Does not mean she’s lazy, she just probably can’t feel like she can construct a full book herself. Like some people. When I read a book, I see all the amazing details that fit together. Maybe she just struggles with that. But she created a wonderful world of cats in her books. So, you cannot deny that. Fun fact:Warriors is the #1 national bestselling series. That’s incredible. I’m on her first series, but I can’t wait to get on her next. Also, she has this website about Warriors and Seekers and her other series. I visited the website. You can trivia or play the Warriors Adventure Game. But the Warriors Adventure Game is a game you have to download. All the series that she has written are...
1:Warriors
2:Warriors:The New Prophecy
3:Power of Three
4:Omen of the Stars
So, those are her amazing series of books in order. I hope you know them by heart. By the way, thank you for choosing to read about Erin Hunter. Do you think she ‘s awesome?
