Today I'm going to have the best day ever. I'm going to call it my ultimate adventure.  Today I'm going to buy a pet unicorn. That's right, a unicorn and it's going to be a girl.

    "Mom I leaving, going to buy a unicorn."

        "OKAY".... She said with a confused voice.

    As I walked down the street, I  saw Jean washing her grandma's car.  I had shorts and a water shirt on. I don't know why/ but I did.

        "Hey Jean", 

"Hey Chanel" she said.

"I heard you're getting a unicorn."

    "Why, Yes I am! I'm on an adventure."

My horse! I cried why did he have to go it will be alright . I carefully walked away, and as soon as I went toward the stairs, I heard, "Wait Chanel!"  I turned back around.  Why are you GREEN ? I SWAM down the pipe.  Duh did you forget?

    Did you see my HORSE down there? What horse? What are you talking about my horse? No I haven't, but I could go back.  I have seen other toys. "Wait!" I said, as she was walking through the family room, "Can I go?"

    Only if you're brave enough Skipper.

100 Word Challenge: Chanel

Then when I looked out of the window I heard a big boom.   What's that? I said.  That's just the airplane crashing no big deal. I have been in them several of times.

    As we stop there's a huge drop, I look out the window again as I see smoke coming out.

    What's that? Oh, it's just gas really, Mom, really.

    Why did we have to come here in the first place?

    I don't know, we're going to have  jump out of this thing! I grab Charlie and we left.  We jumped out of the window and Charlie was confused.

 #1  Life in the Rain Forest.  Author: Lucy Baker-  This book has some facts about dangerous animals and also other animals that arn’t dangerous.  So it would not have been my first choice to read for this topic.  There are also pictures of the animals.

    #2  Poisonous Snakes.  Author: Seymour  Simon- 74.  This book is kinda long but on each pages there is a few sentences but some have full pages.  So it probably would not take you too long to read it.  The pictures on this are also good in my opinion.

    #3  Big Cats.  Author: Seymour Simon- 39 pages.  This book is pretty short but it has lots of facts about BIG cats like Lions.  I would read definitely read this book if I wanted to find out more about BIG cats.  I also like the pictures because some are cute and some are funny.

    4 Shark Attack.  Author: Tom Jackson- 32pg.  This book I find interesting because there are people that survived, interesting and funny facts about sharks.  This book is pretty simple to read and there are many pictures.  There were some facts that I did know and some I did not know.

    5 Jaguars.  Author: Julie Murray- 24 pages.  This book is a short easy book to read.  There are pictures one  page and words one the other page so it is like a pattern. The pictures match the words so it is not like about what they eat then it shows a picture of a jaguar in a tree.

    6 Dinosaur.  Author: Penelope Arlon- 19 pages.  This book I think is a really good kids book because there is a rime on the first page and fold out pages and fun stuff like that.  There is are fun facts not scary facts and not too many words.

    7 The Great Monster Hunt.  Author: Norbert Landa- 24 pages.  This book is actually not a nonfiction book.  It is about a duck that thinks there is a monster under her bed so she yells for help then everyone comes animals to help duck.  But we did not know that it was a story like that.

    We arranged this chart on a scale of 1-7 one being the hardest seven being the easiest.

PE: Hidden Valley was Awesome and Had a Point

    Hidden valley was awesome because when ever you might fall and get hurt really bad the hidden valley paramedics comes and picks you up in the snow car and take you to a hidden valley doctor.

    Hidden valley was awesome because when you didn't feel confident in your self to go on to the next one when you pass you could stay at the one you're at for the whole time!

    Hidden valley was awesome because even if you have a gray pass you have to go throw the stations just so you know how it feels again.

    Hidden valley is awesome because when you didn't pass and you get tired of it for your 5th time you can ask then you can move on if you feel combul than you can go on with your turning lessons.

    Hidden valley is awesome because when you get finished with session 7 you can go down the hill theres so many choose. There is rope tow, ski left and the black diamond only if you had been before also the other big chair ski lift which u have had experience with.

    The high of my day was getting like a hour of free choice by myself that was fun.

    Hidden valley had a good point!!

OLW: Self-Confidence

       My one little word is self confidence. The reason is because sometimes i wanna do it but something inside tells me that i can't do it and i walk away from what I want to do.

        I want to do self confidence instead of confidence because i have confidence but i chose self confidence because self confidence is a struggle for me. If you had a one little word what would it be????

  This unit we are doing personal essays.

We could do anything we want like how bad our siblings are and how fast food is bad.

What I did was graffiti and how its bad and

not a good habit.  This is a good way to think of it: you should have a box and bullets and your reason on the bottom and in the box you put your topic.

This could help you with everything you need like how to get farther when you're stuck you can get more reasons so you won't get stuck. Here is the trick, personal narrative is not how about how you went on the best trip ever.

But you're really supposed to do it about things that happens and experiencing not really things you do.

Social Studies: Secret Word

I wanted to do this blog post because this was my favorite unit well bluffs!

    My classroom just ended a unit in Social Studies. Well I'm going to tell you a bit about what we did.  So stepping stone 3 which is all about secret words. I liked this activity the most.  Secret words is when you go up to front of the room by yourself.  And Mrs. Barnes gives you a word that no one else sees.  You then make up a story with the word without giving the word away. But just dont say too much to where they would know what the word is. When you finish all the other teams will take a guess just to see what the word was. Mrs.Barnes or you teacher will give you a posted note to take to your team just so the other team would not see them. Have you ever done something like that???

I wanted to do my space poem because science might not be my favorite.  I just really like this one.  If you don't really like the subject and your story is boring, than you should add some pizazz to it, make it funny and cute.  You should add some character into your poem or writing piece.

we are the best plant ever 

and we have lots of power too.

Music Auditions

This Wednesday what we did was sing in music for auditions.All the kids did amazing.We all didn't do it but. I enjoyed listening to my peers it was really fun.To see what kind of voices my class mates had!The reason why we auditioned is because we have a Pinocchio  play coming up soon.   We had to practice so our teacher Mrs.Williams could hear how we sound.

    Have you ever learned about someone you don't know well.?

The 5th graders of Glenridge on September 2 went on a partner walk at the school to learn about each other. We picked this topic because we liked how we could learn about our partners on the walk. This we enjoyed because got to talk with our partner and we learned all about each other.  One of the questions we asked were:  How are you as a leader?  We had such a fun time.
