100 word Challenge: Aaron

100 Word Challenge By: Aaron

And then I found out what I had to do.I had to go through the lava mounds to get to freedom. It was the only way to get to be a free black. So I stole my master's shoes and headed off, even though it would be a long hard journey I was willing to take to be a free man. I headed off not scared after what had happened to me in the cotton field. I thought about how great life would be. Already 3 days of walking, and then I realized... I'm actually going the wrong way!

100 Word Challenge: Aaron

It was just a normal day when I saw this green blur in the distance.I rode there on my horse carefully and then I saw what it was it was a...
Green horse! But it was green slime not just the skin. I rode back to my horse and the horse followed me!I ran up stairs and the horse flew up to my room but when it came up it turned into a small toy horse and so I flushed it down the pipe because it scared me.I swam downstairs and told my mom.(yes swam)She did not believe me though.

Hidden Valley: Ski Trip

The ski trip
            by aaron
me and the fifth graders of Glenridge elementary were taking a field trip to hidden valley.I was so exited.when we got there i threw my shoes on and ran to get my skies so fast i was the first one there.then i went to the stations along with 10 other people from glenridge or captain. The first station was how to get the skies on i blew past that and stations 2 3 and 4 because they were easy to me.then i did station five were you had to show you could go fast and stop and swerve threw cones.i past after 2 tries and before i knew it i was on the last station, station seven.it looked hard at first someone cast a spell on me and i past!so i was free to ski.
I first went to the little left that i was aloud to go on it was a new addition to hidden valley.I went up and up and finally got the top just to fall right on to my face.but i got up of course.I went down the hill sort of fast but something caught my eye on the way down i  saw a kid that had a pass the same as mine go up on a big hill to me at least and I asked him if he was allowed to go on it with the beginner pass he said yes!i was amazed so I went up it and I went 3 times as fast as the other hill and that was called the rope tow. After lunch I got a chance from my friends mom to stay longer and get a pass to go up on a way bigger hill of course I said yes i wanted to and in the end i had a great time.
Did you have a good time at the ski  trip?

OLW: Participate

One Little Word by Aaron
Have you ever not kept with a new years resolution?Well I have and my teacher Mrs.Barnes found out a great way to remember your resolution and do it.its called one little word. Its were you only devote to one word to improve in like kind or creative.my word to improve on is participating.
This is important to me because I want to learn lots and if you raise your hand its engaging lots more.I hope that my classmates help with this too because not only will they be help me with my goal but they might have there word be helpful so it will help them too.I plan to achieve this goal by thing after every subject ask myself did I raise my hand and if i did then how many times did I do that.

Math: Algebra

Algebra
By:Aaron
Have you ever overthought something that was easy?
Well I have.It all started on a friday when my teacher said algerbra! That one word stayed in my mind for the rest of the day.I really thought that word was only for the "big kids" so I freaked out.
The next day I walked to class nervously as algebra was coming my way.I took a deep breath and sat down. The first thing my teacher said to me was please dont be scared of algebra, its really not that hard and you've been doing your whole life!Really  I thought it can't be.She said its just a blank in a equation. Then it got easier and easier and I know now never to over think something again.Algebra is just like anything in life if you try it and work hard you will get it and now love it!

Social Studies: Explorers

Have you ever researched a explorer? Hi I'm Aaron and I'm going to tell you about my classes social studies unit we just finished. It was about explores. We did projects on certain explores from a list.I picked Henry Hudson. He was born in 1565 and he was trying to find a short passageway to trade with Asia.We had to make projects on them. Some of the choices were glogster, poster bored and a slide show. I picked a poster board. We did preparation for about two weeks so we all had lots of time.We all were making changes till the last second of the share.
At the last day of the unit before the test we shared with our parents and fellow classmates. It was very nerve racking because we did not practise as much as I think we should of.But overall I think my classmates did great. In the end we all felt very proud and happy for ourselves. We all said congrats and we all lined up for specials after a really fun experience.

Poetry: If I Were in Charge of the World

This poem I am most proud of and that's why I chose this poem to share with you. I like it because this world would be the world that I would never want to die in its exactly as I would want it. Hope you enjoy my piece.

IF I WERE IN CHARGE OF THE WORLD
If i were in charge of the world
Everybody would wake up perfect
And ready to go.
I would own all of the money
and give it to people
And live with my family and friends.
I would own every object and give them out to people
I would have M.L.B players have to try out for me to get in the M.L.B

If i were in charge of the world then
I would live in a house 1000 times the size of the white house
It would have a arcade,
Go cart track,
Humongous pool,
And 100 guest bedrooms.
No un healthy people,
And no moms telling you what to do.

If i were in charge of the world
I would cancel mondays
Have one sister and one brother
That were perfect
loved me
and we were all triplets.
My brother would be athletect just like me
My sister would be atletect but also creative and would want to do whatever I want to do
and even though people weren't perfect they would still be awesome
if I were in charge of the world

Claymo: Partner Walk

Partner Walk
By Aaron and Chanel

Have you ever learned about someone you don't know well.?
The 5th graders of Glenridge on September 2 went on a partner walk at the school to learn about each other. We picked this topic because we liked how we could learn about our partners on the walk. This we enjoyed because got to talk with our partner and we learned all about each other.  One of the questions we asked were:  How are you as a leader?  We had such a fun time.
