Today all the districts of Clayton went to the Clayton high school/the center of Clayton and we had stem day. One activity we did was pixel press. You began pixel pressing by using different cubes that represent different colors. It was kind of like mario. When we finished building our world we would take a picture with an iPad and upload it to an app called bloxels. Then we would use bloxels to code what our enemies did and what the powerups gave us. We could choose between walker flyer and sanitary for our enemies and the power ups were jetpack, bombs, health, map, invincibility and shrink potion. We could also add other areas to the levels. I played a level that was mostly coins and lava.   

The most interesting powerup on bloxels was the shrink potion. It turned you one block high (one block on one cube) and everything seemed huge! The moving enemies looked like godzilla! Well, that's all for now, bye!

Today we went to the science center and planetarium. We saw: the maker space where we made cool experiments,a mars exhibit where we saw and programed an actual rover, the planetarium where we saw cool constellations on a slide show in a place similar to the imax, and a ton of other cool things.

Hello my name is Mitchell and 5th grade and I went to hidden valley on January 14. I'm going to talk about the trip. So the ride there was probably the least exciting thing but the ride was pretty awesome so if that tells you anything, the skiing was pretty awesome. The ride was awesome because everyone was so excited to go skiing. Some people were so excited that they where there helmets and goggles on the ride. as soon as we got there meramac was there so we sat at some empty tables in the hidden valley loge and talked until we had to watch a safety instruction video. After that was done we went into this HUGE warehouse that had tons of snow board/skiing boots and polls and skies and snowboards. Oh my! So we got are skis and we hit the slopes. there were 7 stations. 1.was getting on and off your skis. 2.waslearning what to do if you fall. 3.was the worst station where you would climb up a hill and it took so long and was so frustrating. 4 5 and 6 and 7 were about how to stop, turn and the magic carpet. Lunch was the best thing you've ever tasted in your whole entire life because you've been skiing all day and you are very hungry. My advice is eat slowly it will last longer. So after the 7 stations you can either take the biggener lift or if you are experienced skier than you can go on the big slopes. I went on the biggener chairlift a couple thousand times

My word is never give up because I want to exercise and to do that I have to keep going and never give up

Claymo by Mitchell

Being a claymo leader is not as hard as you think. Some kids make it easy and some kids make it hard. Some days you don’t want to end and some days go on forever. The kindergarteners are so cute they don’t know what to do so they do whatever, it is so cute. The fourth graders are paying so much attention because they know that they are going to do this next. o I try to be a good claymo leader so maybe they will be good claymo leaders too. no one could of thought how could something so tiny have caused so much commotion. Lets back up a little my name is mike and my world changed in a matter of minuets, it was a sunny day I was at school leaning and what not when a huge explosion happened right next to my school. We were all surprised this has never happened before but before I knew it we were all running, screaming, and above us was a huge u.f.o appeared with little tiny aliens started coming down and shooting at us and suddenly I awoke

My name's Vincent but most people call me chen-zo. One dame and my brother Louis were walking home today but we decided to take a shortcut, the only problem with the shortcut is that it was over a graveyard.(bum bum bum) Yes you heard me right a grave yard it was turning night which didn't help at all. My  nerves were sent into overdrive. I freaked out, I looked behind me I saw a skeleton coming out of the dirt we freaked out we ran all the way home with Louis.

She just wouldn’t stop crying. Ever since she entered this world she would not shut up! It’s always”I want this I want that”she is never quiet. Oh sorry where are my manners my name is William but most people call me will and my mom gave us a “little surprise” but she has been the downfall of humanity! Besides who am I kidding I was probably the same way but not his bad! I just hope she will pipe down because she is driving me insane in the brain with her screaming and crying. but I still love her.

After the ceremony, you get letters from your parents. Some people were really emotional, and some people cried. A few people were on the verge of tears, but they thought they were too cool to cry. These letters were completely secret! No one knows what your letter said, and you don't know what other people's letters said.
