There is a virus it's called beeites.These sad people have too where these white suits too go to the airport with there little bags,but the bee is in the way.so all the flights have too be delayed.These people will not leave the city of Hivevill.This disease will make you shrink in size and not make you as smart as you usually are.The city is all caught in this disses , the only good part is that there is no school.Only 300 residents of the city are a live still out of the 3,000 there was before.End.

I went in to the pantry destined to get the goldfish out of the drawer , I got them out of the cupboard and i tried to open the door it was locked.I tried again it was still locked.But when I opened the cupboard inside was a chainsaw,I stuck the chainsaw in the door so it made a hole , I crawled through the hole.I was out of the pantry.Now I went to the den and watched the Monday night baseball game it was braves vs giants. Mike Minor who had came back from the 15 day disabled list was pitching for the braves.

“Jedd Gyorko up to bat” the announcer boomed as I stepped up to the plate.I am the second baseman for the San Diego Padres, and a rookie out of West Virginia University.Drafted first overall,and just coming up from triple a Tucson.So I steped up to the plate,Jose fernadez also a rookie was the pitcher.First pitch low and inside fastball,I swong and missed.Next he gave me the curve,foul ball.count was 0-2.Next pitch I thought slider and I saw slider so I was ready for it, But I thought I had enough time for the pitch and swung and missed.

Spring Break

            Spring Break!

Spring break will start in 2 days.I am exited because my baseball season will start during spring break and I will have soccer games.I am going camping with my dad.
We are bringing a huge tent,the tent is 10 feet by 10 feet.
I also may be going to the campus of Murray State University to see my brother play baseball.
I am also going to Indianapolis to see my sister play volleyball.
I am going to be relived when spring break starts because we will have no school.
I am exited for the warm weather but also mad that winter is over because it was fun snowboarding when there was snow.Hopefully it will snow tomorrow like it is supposed to and then it can be warm.

Flamingo Joe was pushing through the Earth in his high tech spaceship.His spaceship was destined for the moon,if he got there he would be the first flamingo named Joe to get to the moon.His spaceship was pink and it had a face of a flamingo on the top.
The thing was that the flamingo was actually a big duck with a flamingo costume on,but no one knew about it so they just thought he was a flamingo named Joe (which by the way is a weird name for a flamingo).His actual name was O duck.He had a criminal background.

This donkey had a name , It's name was Problem Solver Ned.
His first name was Problem his middle name was Solver and his last name was Ned.
His last name Ned was obviously named after the great Jeffrey "Ned" Thompson, he was a worldly icon for many decades.
Problem admired Ned for his great problem solving skills.
Before the great Ned passed, they called problems Ned's.

Just before the death, Pink had a daughter named purple.

On that day Pink decided to die,purple decided to fly.

Oh why did purple have to fly,I mean did she not now she was going to die.Poor purple.Purple never even got to change her name to gorilla riding a bicycle.

The next day all over the news, the people told me that pink also had a son.The son's name was SometimesISlideDownTheGrandStaircase.

Skiing in Colorado

Skiing in Colorado

Over winter break my family went skiing in winter park,we went to a place called Winter Park.

On Monday December 23 we started skiing.since that was just my second time skiing we had to have a private lesson some skiing guy.

He was nice but since we were not all pros we did not get to do too hard of skiing runs that day.You see a  black diamond at hidden valley is compared to a green in Colorado.

I had not remembered how to ski but when we got there and started doing stuff it was apparently easy!We spent most of the morning learning how to ski.After that we had lunch and started doing the runs.The first one we went on was not very hard I felt like an amazing skier going down the hill. But when we started getting to the harder runs I fell a lot .My favourite run was called Ski Papa.Ski papa took you through the woods and over little jumps, During the whole run I felt like I was going to run into a tree.

The next day we immediately started skiing.The first one we went on took us through the woods a down steeper hills.After that we took the longest ski lift to the top of the mountain.Now this is not the top of a hidden valley mountain this is the top of a Colorado mountain.Right as we got up there it started snowing hard.

We started going down the mountain It was like a blizzard we had to get the bottom as fast as we could.The only problem was you could not see 10 feet in front of you and your goggles were completely fogged up.

I thought I was going to die on the way down or at least break a bone.I did not think any of us would get down there safely. It was skiing through a battlefield.Some how I made it down and survived the day.

I have,a couple I have made are:

toilets.

Dollar words are words that when you add the letters up based on what number in the alphabet they are.

For example:a=1,b=2,c=3 and z=26.

Some ways to find dollar words are:Look for words that have 2 z’s,look for long words and look for words that have a lot of letters towards the end of the alphabet.

Why I Like Oregon

Why I like Oregon!

Have you ever seen the Oregon Duck’s uniforms?

Well if you have, aren't they the coolest things you have ever seen?

The reason those uniforms are so cool is because Oregon university is sponsored by Nike. And you may think a lot of schools have the Nike symbol on their uniforms but those schools just have Nike uniforms.

Nike makes schools uniforms really cool uniforms and that is just what Oregon has.

That is why I first started liking Oregon but now it is because they are so good at sports!

Like this year in football they went 10-2 and 6-2 in the PAC 12.

In basketball last year Oregon won the PAC 12 championship and went on to the NCAA tournament and was a 12 seed when they should have been a 3-4 seed but Oregon powered through the disappointment and beat the number 5 seed Oklahoma State and advanced to beat SLU and advanced to the sweet 16 to play the number 1 seed Louisville (and F.Y.I Louisville went on to when the national championship) and lost but they put up a fight.

And that is the second reason why I like Oregon.

Ski Trip - Hidden Valley

On January 17, 2014 the 5 grade went to hidden valley ski resort!It took us about 1 hour to get there but when we got there it was totally worthwhile.

When we got to the ski lodge we had to watch a safety

video.The video was like 30 minutes long but there was a couple of famous skiers/snowboarders that I had never heard of that were talking.

After all of that stuff we went to the locker place where we got our boots and skies and stuff like that,that took a long time but eventually we got to go outside and do the stations.There were 7 stations.The 1 one was getting your skies on 2 was doing a duck walk then a sideways walk.

If you had skied before you did not have to do all the stations.

After all of the stations I went to the chair lift.When I got to the top I went down the first one I saw which was called Lauren's way, Lauren’s way was a blue (blue means 2 hardest).After that I went to lunch which was pizza,carrots and a root beer.

Then me and my friends started to go down the hard ones like Iceman's ridge which was a black and blacks are the hardest.My favourite run was blue/black which is in the middle of a blue and a black.The run had a lot of jumps on it, I did not land most of them except for the last one which I landed only 1 jump.

Bowl Games

     Bowl Games! by Ned

Starting on December 21, there was an extra college football game just for selected teams that had at least 6 wins.The bowl games are all sponsored by companies like the AT&T Cotton bowl.Which was Mizzou vs Oklahoma state.But a few of the bowls are the best bowls but not always the best match ups.Those bowls are called BCS bowls.BCS stands for bowl championships series. Some of the bowls are: The Fight Hunger Bowl,which was Washington vs BYU,the Valrero Alamo bowl,which was OREGON vs Texas.the rose bowl:Michigan state vs Ohio state.the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl:UCF vs baylor and the Go daddy.com bowl:ball state vs Arkansas state.
And the best bowl which will make you the best team in the nation.The Visio BCS national championship game which was Auburn vs Florida State.  Florida state won the game and they were led by Heisman winner Jamis Winston!

Chocolate Milk

           Chocolate Milk! (yuck!) by Ned

A long time ago like December 1st my class started a debate on chocolate milk.
Mrs.Barnes (our teacher) got an email from Mrs.Scott
(our principal) that said:We are having a debate about chocolate milk.  We need your opinion on if we should keep it or not.
After we saw that email we realized that this was a coincidence to just have started the persuasive  writing unit.
The letters had to not be opinion based but fact based and the letters took a long time to make because we had to make them perfect and make sure there was no opinion in the piece of art.There was a for step process of finishing the writing piece: researching,drafting,typing,and revising.
This chocolate milk experience gave us a great taste of the persuasive unit.
What do you think?  Should we keep chocolate milk or get rid of it?

First Snow

The First Snow of the Year

On Thursday December, 5 2013 there was going to be snow said KDSK, but all we got was these little ice ball things and I thought it was going to be a snow day but obviously that was wrong when I saw what it looked like outside.I think  I'm speaking for ALL of Clayton when there was 1 no snow and 2 no snow DAY.
But then tomorrow there was A LOT of snow so I thought again obviously there was going to be a snow day so I did Not get ready for school at all.
At 6:00 am I went outside and went sledding down my driveway and on my lawn.
It was going really fast when I ran into the fence next to my driveway.It hurt but it was SO much fun.
This was a great non snow day.
we all are still sad but hopefully we will have one before the end of the year.

The Play at Wydown

           Wydown Play!


Last Thursday we went to Wydown Middle school to see the Wydown play.The play was about trying to get people to like each other in a dramatic school.It was a mix of Shakespeare, romance and a comedy.
To get to Wydown we went way down Wydown road to Wydown Middle School.We walked the hole way.
The play was about two hours long and halfway trough the play they played a movie about the making of the play.It was a very hard background to make and I am surprised they finish it only in 1-2 months.
This play was called Much  Ado About Middle School.

Fraction Fun Day!

        Fraction Fun Day!!

On Friday October 25 , 2013 Mrs. Barnes' math class celebrated , finishing a fraction and mixed numbers unit.
There was 4 stations to rotate in and out of every 15 minutes. The  stations were fun fraction games number, fraction recipes where we also so got chocolate chip brownies.The 3 station was a computer game called Fastt Math: Fastt Math is a game were you test your multiplication,division,subtraction and addition.After you finished Fastt Math you got to play fraction games on the computer! Station 4 was the art station. There was fraction art , where you got to color all the shapes that had the correct answer to the problem! You could also decided to see why sally wore goggles?
Fraction fun day was really fun way to end the fraction unit.

The helpful posters were very exciting because we got to find out what are first Claymo (Care Lots About Yourself And Many Others) lesson! We got an assigned rule to write on a long poster. In Claymo, you are assigned a group when you are in kindergarten and when you get to grade 5, you are the leaders of that group!   There were two different kinds of posters you could choose from. One about being helpful in a playground, and the other is about being helpful in an assembly. These posters are going around the school! The posters were a blast. You can learn from the posters that we made.  It was a good experience doing these posters!
