Book Review: Dash

Dash Book Review
DashBy: Emma Raine

This book is by Kirby Larson and it is quite excellent in my opinion, and I am sure you will think so to after reading it.
This book is about a girl named Mitsi and she has a wonderful dog that she loves with all her heart, his name is Dash. But everything after January 9, when the Japanese bomb Pearl Harbor. People of Japanese descent are discriminated and that doesn’t change for Mitsi. Her friends at school, Mags and Judy, suddenly turn their backs on her siding with a mean girl named Pattie who leaves mean notes in her desk.

That’s part of the reason why Mitsi loves Dash so much, that Pearl Harbor hasn’t changed his feelings towards her, not one whit. But all Japanese people are forced to leave and go to camps, where they were kept until they were allowed to be released. But Mitsi is forced to leave Dash behind because pets aren’t allowed. Mitsi has to leave Dash behind with her friend Mrs. Bowsker . This book is about Mitsi’s hardships and troubles, it is really good and I urge you to read it.

This book is historical fiction, which is genre I like do you like historical fiction?
