Archery in P.E by Manny
Archery is a very dangerous sport and activity. On April 1st, we were starting the fun exhilarating unit! I always loved archery and the concentration it takes to get a bullseye. If you’re in grades 3rd and up in Glenridge, then you get to do sports units and pacer. Archery is one of the most anticipated units that we will do in P.E. It’s great fun to do, and a LOAD of kids in 4th and 5th grade love archery!
Archery takes a lot of concentration. You have to aim, close one eye, and release. Trust me, I’ve had all the years of experience you can have when it comes to archery in Glenridge. I’ve only gotten two bullseye’s throughout two years, but I know it takes a lot of focus. On the first day, I missed the board. Well, that’s okay with me because I always started off slowly when it comes to results in releasing.
This unit has always been a joy to me since day one! It’s a great activity to do, and you can feel good about yourself if you get a good result. When I get a bullseye, I cheer and smile. That’s gonna be my reaction when I get the next one!
