Do not read this if you haven’t read the 1st book. Will and Horace go on a mission but when doing the mission, they find all of the nearby villages empty. They need to figure out who or what did this. Did they just all run away or did something else cause them to leave?
This book in my opinion is a little bit better than the 1st book. So it would be 5 stars out of 5 stars. They introduce a new character who is kind of mysterious (but not a ranger). The plot also improved.
