    The Merge of Cultures is an annual event held on the last day of February. It’s an event for Black History Month. I loved going. But I thought the whole thing got empty quickly. I only went to the art room and the gym, because everything else was empty and the lights were off.

    Merge of Cultures was very fun though this year. Some of us were in the gym swing dancing. I was swing dancing for most of the time. It was very fun. I danced with Abby, Diniti, and Emma. The whole thing was very active. We got to dance to songs, they were performed by Jeff Hardin. On a poster, it said that he performed Motown songs. He had a very good voice. I had enjoyed listening to him. Dancing was very tiring. I worked hard on the moves. We also got to learn new moves!! In art, Mrs.Haydon was reading about Clementine Hunter. She was a folk artist. Anyways, even though I didn’t go that many places, I had a great time. I can’t wait till next year!!
