Books of Influence

Books That Influence Me by Manny

Hello. I'm here to talk to you about the books that influence me. You've had books that make you think about something in a different way, right? Well, the first series that influenced me was the Humphrey series. The author is Betty G. Birney. She writes it from a hamsters point of view. It shows how he thinks about the world. That made me love hamsters. Next, Warriors by Erin Hunter influenced me to love cats and it increased my knowledge about cats. She actually inspired me because she came up with a wonderful world of cats and this series is just beautiful. Erin Hunter is awesome. Also, the Unwanteds by Lisa McMann influenced me to think about how powerful kids are. Even though they are like 13 and 12, still, they show an insane amount of bravery and it is incredible. Lastly, Guitar Notes. First of all, best book of the year for me. Hands down. Like, HANDS DOWN!! This book is so amazing and well written it just goes together so well. It influenced me to write my own songs. I never thought about doing that until Guitar Notes. The Beat Club would not be here if it were not for Mary Amato. That's for sure. Thank you for reading.

What books influence you?

  1. Don't you just love the warriors? If anyone hear has never read it, I highly suggest it. Josie Stone suggested it to me, and the rest is history. I just really love of Erin Hunter makes the cats seem like they don't know what the "twolegs" are doing, which makes it more realistic.
I also fell head over heels for The Unwanted. Quill is my nightmare place. No Music? No Singing? No fun? NO ART? NO ART! NO ART!
