On Vacation: Traffic in Bogota

Traffic in Bogota
By Miguel

Ever been stuck in a traffic jam, and waited there for half an hour?  An hour?  Two hours?  Three hours?  Four hours?  FIVE hours?  SIX hours?  Well, thats how bad traffic jams get in Bogota, the capital of Colombia.
Once, my family and I went on a road trip that should have taken maximum three hours, but it took us six hours!  The people walking next to the road were going faster than the cars!
And there is traffic jams 24/7, but Sunday is usually calm.  In the mornings, at least!
And there is a thing going on that if someone tells you to turn to the right because there is a traffic jam to the left, and you go to the left, there is no traffic!  And the weird part is that its usually always true.  I would rate traffic in Bogota two of five stars (trust me, it can get sort of fun).

  2. How could traffic possibly get any fun what so ever? I hate sitting in the car with nothing to do. But it's weird how when people tell you to turn right so you avoid traffic, then you turn left and there's none?! That's so ironic.
