I groaned.
"Mooooooommmm, I hate road trips!"
"Gurly you will not sass me."
"But MOM!"
"Enough."
I was quiet. Sometimes I hated mom. The car ride was silent. Then Abbie piped up.
"Are we there yet?"
Silence.
"ARE. WE. THERE. YET?"
I burst.
"SHUT YOUR MOUTH!!!!!!"
Abbie started crying.
"MOOOOMM."
Mom sighed.
"Girls, girls. Be happy, this is time for family to get together."
I groaned.
"Now look at the amazing view."
We all turned our heads. We looked, and looked, but all we could see was water.
"Mom this view is terrible."
Abbie laughed.
"That's fuuuuuuunnnnnyyyy."
Then we all turned our heads.
"Yeah Abbie. It is."
I really liked your blog. It's funny and its something that kids our age experience a lot. You blog was steady and detailed. Is the girls name Gurly or is the mom just calling her that??
ReplyDeleteDear Daboh,
ReplyDeleteThe girls name is actually Gurly. Its a name. I thought it would be fun to have a name that was different.

Sofia I loved the blog. Sometimes I can relate to the character Abbie. It was so funny it made me literally fall out of my chair when I read it.
ReplyDeleteHello, this is Manny. I LOVED YOUR BLOG SO MUCH!!!!! It was so creative. I agree with Daboh. Sometimes kids ask that question to their parents. I liked how someone said the view was terrible. Keep up the good work!!
