    February is a really fun month. Do you like February? There’s a lot of special things in the great month. There is celebrations, it’s Jump Rope for Heart, all that good stuff. February is one of my favorite months of the whole school year. It’s so good to enjoy the last month of freezing cold temperatures with hot chocolate. February is Black History Month. I love learning about the people that fought for equal rights. Or the people who did great things with their lives. Like Jesse Owens, Wilma Rudolph. Those athletes changed history in the sports they played in! That’s great! Also, February is Valentine’s Day. I like to have the party for Valentine’s Day in the classroom. Really, it’s just like the Halloween parties, except we stay in our own room. Jump Rope for Heart is also in this great month. I LOVE doing the jump rope activities in the gym for P.E. It’s so fun. Usually, when we do the jump rope during the song thing, the song stinks. But since it’s Roar by Katy Perry, that’s a song that can really pump me up. I love the chorus. “I got the eye of the tiger, the fighter. Dancing through the fire, ‘cause I am the champion. And you’re gonna hear me roar!” You can tell why I really love February. It’s so full of activities and games. February rocks. Do you think so?
