Book Review: The City of Ember

The City Of Ember
By: Jeanne DuPrau
Book Reveiw by: Anette

The city of ember is an AMAZING book for all you hunger game fans, it is about Lina and Doon, who have reached the age for when they can work. Lina, gets pipeworks and Doon gets messenger. Each wanting the others job, they switch. But deep below the ground in a dark room, in the pipeworks, the genorator is breaking down. Lina and Doon have to find a way out by deciphering soggy instuctions. Do they make it out? Will they live? Or will Ember just have to live in darkness?

My favourite part is when Doon is in the pipeworks. I like to imagine what it would be like down there. But I like imaging Lina as a tall strong legged girl in her frayed red messenger coat delivering messages to the people of ember. But my favorite character is Poppy, Linas little sister who, made the instuctions soggy and torn, thus Lina has trouble deciphering it. I would recomend this book to anyone who loves a good adventure.
