Math: Binary Numbers

During math today, in Ms. Mcmillon's math class we learned about base 2 & binary numbers, in a way the same thing.  

Here’s a couple of digits from 0 to 100 in base 2 (or binary):
0=0
1=1
2=10
3=11

This is binary, the type of counting that computers use.  So when you type the number 9 in a computer, the computer puts 1001, but showing up as 9 on the screen.

    I get you like counting in binary but this? It is so cool! aren't you on like on number 1,000 in base ten???

      I am at 2000 as of Halloween. I am probably going to stop at 5000 or 10000.
