Movie Review: Brave

  Brave by Manny

Brave is an amazing animated movie that I watched a while ago. I thought it had great messages, and it was funny because it took place in Scotland and they had Scottish accents! Have you seen this movie? If you haven’t, you really should! It’s full of action, bears, fates, and other things. Well, now, I’ll tell you more about the movie.
Merida is a tough girl who likes archery. All her life, her mom, the queen of the kingdom, has taught her how to be a princess. She sometimes says,”A princess does not leave weapons on the table.” And Merida responds,”But Mum, it’s just my bow.” She obviously doesn’t want to be a princess. And when other dudes enter a competition to marry Merida, all run by her mother, isn’t very happy with that. But soon, in the choice competition, Merida chooses archery. As the two men don’t make it on the bullseye, one weird dude makes it. The crowd roars. But Merida walks up and shouts,”My name is Merida and I’ll be shooting for my hand.” She then hits two targets right in the bullseye, as her mother tells her to stop. But she shoots one more, and it goes right through the won the weird guy hit. Merida turns to see her mother staring right at her. The next scene is shown how the mother yells at Merida, and Merida yells back. With a sword, Merida slices the tapestry, separating her mum and herself from the picture. Soon, Merida runs away, but I’m not telling you what happens next, I’ve told you enough!
Well, I hope you think the movie sounds really good. It is! Brave shows how to fix problems with family. Trust me, if you watch it, you’ll love it!
