Flora and Ulysses by Manny
Flora and Ulysses is this book that I’m reading for IDR. I have to say, it’s a very weird book and also very awkward and random. But it’s still a good book. It’s written by Kate DiCamillo.
Flora is this girl who’s always reading comics. Flora is very weird and doesn’t have any friends. As she’s reading, outside of her house, a squirrel is crushed by a vacumme. That squirrel has powers of flight, super strength, and he’s able to write poetry! She then keeps the squirrel and names him Ulysses. The whole book is about their adventures and stuff like that. It’s very different from what I read, but still entertaining.
Flora and Ulysses have a very nice relationship. The book is about making friends, and other hidden messages. I like this book a lot. Have you heard of Flora and Ulysses?
