Chocolate Milk Debate

December 9, 2013
Dear Miss Scott,
I think, no know that you should remove chocolate milk from everyday cafeteria use because chocolate milk  is unhealthy, it’s flavorless, and there are better things in this world.
How many times in your life have you heard the word “unhealthy” Well here it is again: Chocolate milk is unhealthy. While 18 grams of sugar per carton may seem small, it’s actually three thousand two hundred forty grams per an average schools year. Think about it now! Maybe you could make it a treat, like pizza once a week on friday.
When people say chocolate milk is to go coco loco over, is it really? I am a normal student in Glenridge, so I hear plenty of complains, trust me. Chocolate milk is flavorless, not in of sugar, bla bla bla. You don’t want to hear the whole list. If so many people don’t like it, why keep it in the cafeteria? It’s a huge waste of money, yearwise. All that money could help the school.
At the top of your head, which do you think would be healthier, Sunny D or Chocolate Milk? Which do you think students will like more? The answers to those questions are
Sunny D and Sunny D. When we compared Sunny D to Chocolate milk, Chocolate milk was 7 more grams of sugar. That’s one thousand two hundred sixty grams more in an average school year! Bring back bottled water, or replace chocolate milk with Sunny D.
I hope you will take what I said into consideration, and make a ban on chocolate milk for everyday cafeteria use.
Sincerely,
    Diniti
