Library Time: Fantastic Flying Books of Mr. Morris Lessmore

Fantastic Flying Books of Mr.Morris Lessmore by Manny

In library on Wednesday, we watched this short movie. It was called Fantastic Flying Books of Mr.Morris Lessmore. That short movie won an Oscar for Best Animated Short. I loved the video. It’s message was that books can make people happier. So this is how it went.
There was this guy who was reading on his house porch. Then all of a sudden...a tornado appeared. It blew everything away. Soon, they all ended up in this gray wasteland. He then sees this brick road and walks down it. Mr.Lessmore then has his head down while a lady flies on a bunch of balloons. The lady then gestures to the book to fly to Mr.Lessmore. The book then leads it across a fence into a huge library. Mr.Lessmore then spends time there with all his books. Soon, people come gray to the library, looking for a friend/book. He soon gives the books away. Not all of them, but you know what I mean. Then when he gets older, he walks to the door and all these books surround him. They swirl so fast and fast and fast, that soon, they shoot a flash of when he was younger. And then he soon rides on the balloons. After that, he comes into the library as a book. And when a little girl walks in, he flies toward her. The little girl then has a friend. And she grows brighter. That’s the end. I loved the message. Books can brighten a person’s day or even life. This shows how important books are. Did you like the short movie’s message?
