Movie Review: High School Musical

                                            High School Musical by Manny

High School Musical is a great movie that I saw a long time ago when it came out in 2006. I’ve watched it about 10 times between those 8 years. Have you seen High School Musical? It’s a great musical/romance movie that is for kids, of course. It came out on Disney, so I know for sure. It’s a movie with great songs. Some songs like Bop to the Top, Breaking Free, Start of Something New and What I’ve Been Looking For, just to name a few of my favorites. All the songs were popular and the soundtrack was 1 the U.S. for albums, EPs, and soundtracks. You must know what the movie is about, so now I’ll tell you.
Troy Bolton is the school’s basketball star. The movie starts off where he and his dad, who’s the coach, were taking a few shots. There was a New Years Eve party, and he and his dad were in the gym. Then Troy’s mom comes in and tells them to have fun and go to the party side. They do and there are a lot of people there. Soon, they pick two people to sing a song. The spotlight shines on Troy, and this really shy teenager named Gabriella. They both look a little uncomfortable on stage because Troy doesn’t sing that much, and Gabriella is really shy, like I said. They then sing the song great and become friends once Troy finds out that she goes to his school, East High. Romance begins to blossom for them while theater troubles and other stuff happen around the school. But its not just about Troy and Gabriella, there are other characters too. Like Chad, who is on Troy’s team and is his best friend. Also, Sharpay. She is the mean girl who, with her brother Ryan, have gotten the lead in plays or musicals multiple and multiple times in a row. There’s a lot of craziness and music in this movie. I love it. If you have Netflix, then watch the movie there. High School Musical is a spectacular movie. I hope you want to watch it.
